DO NOT...repeat...DO NOT GO TO  Indian Meadow for lunch Tuesday, Sept. 5 !

Our last meeting was our last meeting at Indian Meadow.   They were most hospitable and
made every effort for our comfort.   The chef had only one regret...he didn’t get to make
the following:     Cranberry Chicken.  You can do it yourself in memory.
6 chicken breasts
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 small bottle Catalina salad dressing
Combine sauce ingredients. Place chicken skin side up in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
Pour sauce over chicken.   Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until chicken is done.
Serve with rice and, of course, mixed vegetables.

We heard from our RYLA students talking about their experiences at the recent training
week-end.   Lots of focus on listening, an integral part of communication,  and describing
some of the activities.   The best line was about the construction  team excercise without
talking.  As Paul Haberman explained the frustration involved he said,  “Everyone was
yelling with their hands.”   So worth it, said Sangita Kashava,  “I enjoyed it”.

Another good meeting...another good member of our club.  Stephen Georgeson, Pastor of
Rice Memorial Church was pinned by President Mark Leahy and welcomed by all.
Prudence Bean expressed thanks for the condolance bouquet.   Adam Winter appreciated
his “get better” flowers.   He is up.
The happy dollars were designated for the St Bernard Katrina refurbishing project.  Each
of  our dollars will be matched by FEMA  ten to one.   Who could say no !

BOARD MEMBERS.  Mark your calendars for an extra meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 12th.
This will be at the Police Station at 8 AM.   This is in addition to the regularly scheduled
Board Meeting on the third Tuesday.
