Where is the luncheon meeting ?  Well you may ask.
INDIAN  MEADOW  GOLF  CLUB.   Same time Tuesday, July 18th.
We will be hearing details of Cheryl Owok loose in Brazil keeping track of her GSE team
and developing  an expressive,  successful smile and point  language.  Hey!  It got her
there and back.   You had to be great, Cheryl.  Looking forward to it.

Next time you could be a Group Study Exchange team leader.  Yes, you could.  Consider
this.  Egypt for a month.  Scheduled leaving April 26, 2007.  If you are interested contact
Manelis711@yahoo.com.

CLUB ASSEMBLY and BOARD MEETING will be next week, July 25th.   Do note.

Our last meeting we heard from our resident renaissance man, Ron Goodenow.  To say he
is all over the map is an understatement !  Polio at age 12 and 2 years of home schooling
and voracious reading began a path of adventure, discovery and continued learning.
There was the jazz band that must have set the beat for history and politics toward a PHD
and teaching.  Included have been travels and publishing and discourses on internet
programs/ urban educational  systems and hw they affect each other.  DEC meant
informational technology and universal research programs.   Would you believe
tele-medecine and the health care field....including the human factor of  integration in
technology.    Going back to 12 years old....he received a camera which developed his
passion for photography, “on the side”.    Professional usage incorporates the real
estate field and personally, Ron has been documenting RR passenger trains for a number
of years from everywhere.   Part of his and Carol’s travels include California where
their two daughters and  a grandchild reside.   As one of our rapt, listening Rotarians
said, “How  has he been able to do all teaching, research, writing, photography, and all/”
Skip Doyle and  Ed King expressed appreciation of new members being able to use their
skills in the club as with Ron, as our official “Picture taker”  and  Adam Winter with the
web site also.

Cheryl Owoc presented several Paul Harris fellowships which weren’t available for the
recent installation of Mark Leahy.

Ron and Joan Day are preparing a presentation on pure water to be at the
Library...focusing on our water resources and what is  threatening them as well as what
is happening internationally through R.I.   Further plans will be announced.

There is going to  be an  appreciation evening  for  TOM  LOWE at the White
Cliffs...November 3rd...$50.  Evidentally limited tickets so if you are interested check with
Andy Down who knows  everything that is going on in town.

Joan Rosen brought a guest, Gary Cooper, who is a prospective member.  Also with us
again was Ted Nader, former Rotarian.
