Well,  how ‘bout that BEE  !?   The energy...the anxiety...the challenges...the laughter.
Truly a fun, community event.   Jean Langley, Library Director, sent this editor a memo
thankful for the persistance in getting a team together ‘cause they won.  Jubilation.
Overheard throughout the groups of participants,  “...next year” ...”next year”..”next year”
It took all of us to make this happen...Northboro Rotary does it again !

Guesting on November 14 was John Oliveira, enjoing our club assembly.  We may be
having another one on the 21st...we’ll see. Club assembly, that is.
November 28 our guest speaker will be
Mohsen Mahmoud, proprietor of Lil M’s Mart in the Times Square Mall in Northboro.
He will be talking about his family, successful business and history which includes a career
as a professional soccer player, member of the Egyptian army present at the assassination
of Anwar Sadat,  resident of Kuwait, and immigrant to the US with the help of the US
government.

Cheryl Owoc and Jean Bianchi will be advising us of our speaker roster for December.

Speaking of December...first there is the December 11 Glavin Holiday party.  Get your
gifts to Doris Walsh as soon as...or drop them off at the Doyle’s photography barn...and
plan to attend the party if you can...you will be receiving the gift .

December 16 is the annual holiday party at the Mottle’s.  6:30 pm. Fred and Holly
graciously open their home for this fun, get together.   A sign up sheet will be circulated at
the next meeting.  Addison Redfield  and Pat Doyle once again are doing the food
We pay $10 ...they   create a culinary delight.

Then before we know it visions of pancakes appear... then  the Antiques Appraisal.

It evidentally is that time of year to solidify the officers for the next year.  Mark Lessner is
chairing a panel to complete the roster.   Ron Goodenow is the President elect with
Prudence Bean as the one after.   We will be hearing more about this, I am sure.

Ed King shared some vital statistics about the Ambassadorial Scholars program.  For
details  go to www.Rotary.Org.  Also don’t forget our web site
NorthboroughRotary.Org.   Up-to-date info, pictures and good stuff.

Birthdays in December are:  December 7th =  Mark Lessner.     December 9 = Barbara
King.   She and Ed have an anniversary  on the 31st.    December 31 is Mark Leahy’s big
day.

And now for another meaningful comment (thanks to Michael Josephson).....
Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident.  Its not a matter of circumstance
but of choice.      My own comment...choosing Rotary is a step in the right direction.
