Northborough Rotary welcomed guest Lynn Winter to our meeting as she considers joining our club.
Club Business:
Fred Mottle thanked all for a wonderful party held the previous Friday night. Thanks were especially given to Doris, Ted, Pat, Skip and Ken Golden for his “elegant” wine serving skills. Here is a quick snapshot from our former Editor, Nancy Berglund : “October 5th was a fine gathering of Rotarians on hand to wish Fred and Holly Mottle bon voyage. Many sentiments and remembrances were shared by Ted Nader and George Pember about the many years Fred and Holly have been in Rotary. The Mottles always welcomed any of us into their home for holiday parties and football parties most graciously and generously over the years. Old friends and former club members were there...Dick Waterhouse and his wife; Tom Kieler and his wife plus Dick and June Dreimer all made the effort to share the evening. The club gifted Fred and Holly with matching Rotary windbreakers for the ocean breezes in Florida and on board the boat. President Ron put together a gem of a slide show picturing Fred as we have never seen him ! The dinner, catered by Struck was fine dining equal to the evening. We were on Doris Walsh turf so she had everything in hand with Pat and Skip and Michelle and Mike making for a smooth, appreciative evening for the Mottles.”
It can't be really good-bye...let's just say, "See you later."
President Ron Goodenow noticed that no one under the age of 59 was present and going forward would like all members, particularly the younger members to join in.
December 15, 2007 is the tentative date of our holiday party.
A reminder was given to all Rotarians to fill out and submit the “Survey.”
