Northborough Rotary welcome guest speaker Angela Boris, owner of “A Tight Ship: Direction for organization.” Angela pronounced that she “came out of the womb this way,” and she simply can’t help being organized.
After leaving corporate America 4 years ago, Angela decided to start her own business helping families, businesses and individuals to better organize themselves in order that they can be more efficient and have less stress from clutter and confusion. Angela places a great deal of importance on committing small spaces of time to get organized and called the process the 3 second to 3 minute rule; If you can do it now in 3 seconds to 3 minutes, do it. Deciding to put off these tasks will only make matters worse and items in your “To Do’ box will build up as fast as the children’s toys in the living room.
Angela leaves her clients with the knowledge and know-how of maintaining organization. “It’s not about being perfect,” she says, it’s about developing a process, a structure and a routine that creates a life and business which is proactive, not reactive. As Angela says, being organized starts with 15 minutes a day and ends with a lifetime of not having the stress and worry that typically accompanies clutter and disorganization. Nancy Berglund promptly asked if Angela was up for adoption. She isn’t, but Angela is happy to offer a free consultation to all those who can use the advice and help of a professional organizer.
