BOARD MEETING  May 29th at 8 AM at Police Station
(Jean Bianchi is taking bets!)

Our three RYLA students certainly got the up-front and behind the scenes picture during a visit to see what we are all about.   James Koch,  Michael Amberson and Rachel Mazzola must be looking forward to the week-end of June 23rd.   So can you.  Do an hour or all day or even if you are lucky you can stay up all night.  Oh yes !
Many hands are needed.  You can be in the office, in the gym,  on the ropes,  hands on or watching...there is a place for you.    As our Club President says, "It will renew your faith in today's young people".    Perhaps you can make Greg Roche's installation on that Friday evening at White Cliffs as well.

Coming back for more was Susan Darling.  Her name has been nominated for membership and will go forward hearing no objections within seven days following this publication.   She is the Assistant Branch Manager of Central One Federal Credit Union.

Talking about June.  The  12th is our scholarship luncheon awarding the recipients checks representing many pancakes !
June 19th is the Senior picnic at Marlboro Fish and Game.  Once the chicken is cooked it is fast and fun.  We set up,  serve,  and clean up..and eat, of course.
The first Tuesday in June is the 5th and I think Brett Ferguson, trumpeter and teacher extraordinaire,  will be accepting a check for the Melican Middle School music program.   You all really flipped out...the check $...whatelse?   Pancakes!

AG Steve Sager was on hand to present the club, via Pat Doyle, the Best Club Award.  "Her President" was the first to lead congratulations and hit the golden gong.
2500 points were accrued by all of us as Pat observed, through GSE hosting;  RI $'s in on time;  District meet attendance just to give a few instances.

June 29th is the installation of Ron Goodenow as Club President.  Perhaps he was practicing his speech as he praised Paul Gallagher and Claude Guirlaine (sp?) for establishing blueberry fields forever around Carner Park.
Then Ron praised the GEMINI projects training emergency medical techinques and providing equipment in third world countries.  What are second world countries ??
We have to think about these things.    Then, Ron up-dated us on the cable show.
Projections are that connections are happening.
Kudos to Cheryl Ann Owoc being named Rotarian of out District.   How to go !  Yes !
Cheryl, same one, also is going to be the planner for the Turkey trip next year.  Judging by the efficiency of the District Conference proceedings she handled, Turkey
will done to a turn.
Cheryl Rosen, who handled the program printing and handouts had some goodie bags left over that she shared.  What timing!  A birthday present for Mike Ambrose
who just turned 16.  Oh, to be that age again ?   I don't think so !
Our next District Trainer will be Ed King.   Another subject for "guest" speaking, Ed.
I heard people wondering just what is involved.
Taking this all in was Michelle Mareno-Lee from the Shrewsbury Club.
Please note,  I,  and the RYLA kids liked the steak quesadillos.   Somebody tell the cook.
