I understand that half of Northboro Rotary Club members need bail money. Be prepared to give.. Addison Redfield escaped from Worcester County Jail
and is now planning a field trip to Walpole State Prison for wine and cheese !
In the meantime...there is NO BOARD MEETING this Tuesday, May 15. We will, however, have another boisterous club assembly.
As you all have received the great pictures and comments from Ron Goodenow about the jail visit last week, this news "message" will be mostly a reminder issue.
First: This week-end = District Conference in Boxborough. Go
Second: Three RYLA students have been selected for the June week-end at Nichols College and will be visiting us on the 22nd if they can, to see what Rotary is all about.
Second, again: On the 22nd I believe George Pember is presenting info on St. Bernard Parish school. If not, somebody else can punt and I'll go long.
Third: Foundation. Be firm...give
Fourth: Website. Check it out. Adam Winter works hard on this for all of us.
Fifth: Jack Daniels. Just checking to see if you are still reading ! Every word!
Six: Birthdays are at the end of the month.
Remember last week, the necessary information about the 1500's and bathing?
Here's more ! The baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot waer. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally children. Last of all, the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it.. Hence the saying, Don't throw the baby out with the bath water !
Ah! The good old days.
