We had a great or perhaps "greet" meeting with the GSE team from Egypt. Wonderfully vibrant, enthusiastic young business professionals. We were introduced to them by Ali Haggag, the team leader. PP of the Alexandria West Rotary Club. He thanks as all for what we are doing and said that being with families is so useful and makes a difference. He likes that through Rotary one has friends everywhere.
DGE Greg Roche shared Rotary Cares pins and business card holders with the team members and a scroll of original papyrus was presented to Mr. Roche. The team then distributed pins to all of us in attendance, and there was a flag swap. The T&G printed a wonderful article about the GSE team. If you care to access the picture et al, go to to the following: http://www.telegram.com/apps/pbcs.dll/articleAID=20070502/NEWS/705020569&searchlD=73279875142155 Do you believe that? ! In any event I will bring a copy of the article page to the next meeting I attend. (I ain't going to jail...don't ask!)
Well!. Taking in the meeting and greeting were, previously mentioned DGE, Greg Roche as well as Milton Steene and Sue Abladian of the Westboro Club, hosts. Sue Darling, Central One Credit Union as well as Patricia James of the T&G who did justice to our guests in her article. Also, Coleen Lupien of the Northboro Food Pantry received a check for $1050 representing a simplified grant made possible by the efforts of Skip Doyle on behalf of our club.
District Conference is almost here. Do what you have to do. Check with Cheryl Owoc
Done anything extra for the Foundation ? Think about it. It is never too late.

Got any weddings on the calendar for June? In the 1500's most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married. We need to know these things !
