Oh happy day ~
Northboro Rotary experienced Club Assembly on Tuesday, April 24th.
Taking part in the fellowship were Frank Dubois of the Worcester Club and
Tom Zadak. Reports from the 8:am Board meeting were as follows:
Another reminder about attendance. The membership committee advises us
of the 60% minimum committment. It’s not just dues...its the fellowship. If you
need a ride or a reminder or reassurance...call someone. And don’t wait
for someone to call you...call one of our club members you haven’t seen for
awhile. Perhaps they need a ride, a reminder or reassurance.
We are all encouraged to attend some part of the District Conference in Boxborough over
the May 18 - 20 week-end. There is a lot of great stuff going on. You only
pay if you eat meals. But more important you leave proud to be a Rotarian.
If you were one of our club to attend the District Assembly check with Jean Bianchi
for reimbursement of the $20 fee.
The GSE team from Egypt will be our guests on Tuesday, May 1st.
On May 8th there will be our meeting at Worcester County Jail.
May 15th Club Assembly and perhaps George Pember with information
about. St. Bernard Parish on May 22nd. That leaves May 29 and then
June. Remember June 29th for new president installation...Juniper Hill.
May 8 Improbable Players in Westboro.
Adam Winter is open to feedback about the Pancake Breakfast...can email him.
A few immediate comments were in favor of the angled table set-up...much
easier to serve; the need to plan ahead on the baskets and particularly to clarify
the raffle choices on the tickets.
Adam also spoke of the training possibilities for technological growth for club members.
Our new hero, Will Oliveira, will be taking over the responsibilities of
Public Relations AND will be the news letter editor come June. Sweet !
Birthdays in May are the 27th = Gary Cooper. The 29th = Alistair Wheeler.
The Georgeson’s anniversary is the 6th.
What lies on the bottom of the ocean and twitches ?
A nervous wreck !
