If you have been reading your email you know that Charles Gobron, Superintendent
of Schools, will be our luncheon this Tuesday. Should be “hot off the auditorium floor”
information from Town Meeting Monday night.
Re-cap of April 15th meeting.
Vote to raise dues to $20 a year as of July 1st.
President-in-waiting after Steve Georgeson, 2009-2010 and Adam Winter, 2008-2009,
will be Andy Dowd. Oh, yes!!
If you choose not to eat at a meeting but want some coffee or soda, it is $2.00.
Money has been dispensed for one week summer camp for deserving youngster.
Money as been ear-marked for the Habitat project.
The Fire Fund is increasing with continuing out reach and awareness.
Michelle Gillespie brought forward a fund raising idea for October...”At Your Service”
auction...think about what you can offer....Police Ride Along ? Fix a drip!
Limo service ? Barkeep at your party? Catering one affair. Got a summer cottage ?
Start thinking. Enjoying the company and eats was Norbert Savard. He was back again
on April 22nd. Ginny Redfield and Mark Dunbar were in attendance to support
Addison and his guest speaker Kathy Rohrs from So Africa and the Sabie Rotary Club.
She is a retired teacher, supposedly, but now teaches literacy and numeracy. She gave
a concise over-view on the importance that education has in the provinces. Companies
pay for community schools and training. Schools are free for those in need and available
to all.
Speaker getters for May are Skip Doyle, Michelle Wheelock and Gary Cooper. Let
me know. An up-dated Speaker lst through August will reach you all. Revisions
include new members and the new list will probably be a duplicate except for
the calendar year...Sept. 08 - Aug. 09. Plug in your Blackberry !
Over and out.
